One of my favorite weekends of the year...General Conference. Not just because I can be comfy all weekend, but the talks are exactly what I need to hear. I have a hard time sitting and watching it (I fall asleep if I'm not moving around) so I like to listen on the radio. We also try to get the kids involved by playing Conference BINGO with MnMs!
Brandon was given tickets to the Priesthood Session and took Zack and Cam (Cam was a week shy of turning 12). They are so handsome and there's something about all of them in their Sunday best!
Conference Saturdays are good for washing the windows! Brandon still has all of his gear from when he worked in high school!
Part of Cam's birthday present was getting him the chiropractic/massage combo! He is very active with sports and often complains about soreness, so I try to get him in once a year. His favorite is the massage and gets very relaxed that he falls asleep! The therapist often says she could spend a lot more time on him...but that also means a lot more money ;)
Spring Break started with all of us going to the track and getting in some exercise while Luke was at soccer practice! Some of us ran/walked/scootered around the track and others played football or juggled soccer balls! The boys played night games with their friends and Zack taught Cam and Luke how to make prisms.
Halfway through the week, we went to St George. This is the 1st time we haven't been to Moab in a decade! My dad's new house was scheduled to be finished (it didn't end up being done) so they couldn't commit to splitting the cost/time of the usual Moab condo. We hiked the Dixie Rock the first night. Heather joined us because she is always up for an adventure...and Ashlyn needs her sleeping buddy!
The first night we stayed at a hotel so we could maximize the next full day of riding! The kids always look forward to swimming.
We stayed at Las Palmas. I showed my kids what I used to do in my Grandma Karma's closet mirrors, and now they get excited when they see them!
We ate at Paula's Mexican,
The Pizza Factory (where the boys sat by the window and tried to get girls to wave back at them)
Day 1 we rode at Sand Hollow. It was fun and we found some bowls where we kick up a lot of sand. Ashlyn preferred to watch and get sand blasted instead of staying in the RZR! We were only able to ride for a few hours before a storm started brewing and we had to make our way back to the trailers.
The weather stayed rainy for the next few days, so we stayed bundled up in the condo a lot, but when the weather would break, we would ride right out of our parking lot to some fun trails close by. It was like an obstacle course so the boys loved chasing each other.
Zack
Cam
Pretty pink flowering cacti.
We also tried hiking Red Cliffs while the weather cleared. It was nerve racking as a mom watching my kids climb over the wet cliffs! They were great for the most part. We kept telling Ashlyn not to look down, but as you can see in the picture, she did!
Cam celebrated his 12th Birthday on Sunday.
We had family over that night and he got his Nike HyperDunk shoes!

I got my eyebrows touched up...(Before and After)
Eyebrows make such a big difference! I wish I wouldn't have plucked them so thin in high school!
I finally found a cornea specialist (Mifflin) and an optometrist (Petty) that work together to help Kerataconus patients. They are at the UofU Clinic in Murray. They have fit me with scleral lenses. It took 6 months of trial and error to find the (almost) perfect ones. They are huge and awkward and difficult to put in, but I can SEE!
Brandon and I went to Dallas for a work conference. We picked that specific location because I like to shop at Sam Moon and we like to visit the Barkers!
We stayed at the Highland Hotel just outside of downtown. That is where they held the conference, Millionaire Mind. They strategically kept the room cold at 65* so that people don't fall asleep! It was too cold for me so I ended up sitting by the pool! We sat in the back with the Staff (global peace ambassador, etc) and Brandon evaluated how things were working. They had us participate in the arrow breaking; we wrote down a fear/insecurity on an arrow and got with a partner and they held one end and the other end went in to your Adams apple. Then you walk forward and (hope to) break the arrow symbolizing you getting over your fear/insecurity. So many people were emotionally engaged and were crying...not us though ;)
Most of the attendees were southerners! Big and loud and love to sing! We had to get in a circle and interlock arms and sing "In My Living Years." This big guy on one side of Brandon was really into it...dancing, crying, and singing with all of his might, that it had a ripple effect down the line!
We met up with the Barkers in the evenings for dinner and a (quick) stop at Sam Moon...twice ;)
Sam Moon is usually where we pick up the kids souvenirs and Mother's Day gifts.
Alex and Zack are 3 days apart. It's crazy to see how much they've grown this year!
(#1 rated Indian in Dallas...wasn't that good!)
We had a break one day and drove around the wealthy areas of Dallas.
and stopped by the Temple. They were working on the landscaping around the grounds and the Temple was closed, but it's always fun to see the church in different parts of the world.
While we were in Texas, Heather watched the kids. She was able to go support Ashlyn at school in her Poetry Show and Jenna supported Cam at his NOVA graduation! Those things are hard to miss, but grateful we have awesome family and friends that can step in. Heather also took the kids to the Bees game! Ashlyn took Gwen and they sat in the Huntsman Suite and met the Bee!
Brandon's work treated the office to Jungle Book. Dane's parents were out of the country so Luke was able to bring a friend!
I continued helping my dad and Debbie with their home designing. This month we picked out fireplace rock. The views from the back of his house are incredible with the farm land and spring flowers. Someday, I want to take family pictures there!
Cam had his 12 year well check and he is 75 pounds and 4'8" tall. He hasn't started puberty, but wants to grow really bad!
Cam was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood on Sunday, April 24th, 2016. All of his grandparents came plus our Home Teacher, John Bean and the other Aaronic Priests were there.
Cam's Birthday dinner with the Snows was at Buffalo Wild Wings.
He takes advantage of eating meat any chance he gets!

I was watching Brandon and decided I would take a picture of every face he made in a couple minute period (he was unaware)...hahaha!
Zack and friends trying on sunglasses!
Ponytail twins!
spying on Luke in class!
Luke was the Student of the Month for being responsible!
Ashlyn is so fun to watch play soccer.
She is athletic and fun to see her ponytail bobbing when she runs!
We took a Sunday walk to our new community pool/club house.
Maybe someday, one of our kids will have a reception there!
The Belnaps are Ashlyn's 2nd family! She got invited to dinner for Braxton's birthday!
The infamous windstorms in Traverse Mountain...on garbage day!
We went to Timpanogos Temple and participated in Sealings on the 26th.
I love when it's tulip season!
Devoted fans...sitting/standing through rain, wind, and freezing temperatures!
I started getting a fruit/veggie co-op basket each week. It's only $20 and I only have to sign up if I want what they are getting that week.
A sunset that looks like the sky is on fire!
It's not every day that you see a camel being trailered!
